A cook who carried a kitchen knife to the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy’s camp office on Sunday was detained by security personnel. G. Anand Kumar, 32, was handed over to the police who described him as “mentally unstable”. Anand Kumar went to the camp office at Begumpet at 7.30 am and stood in the queue for the CM’s rehabilitation scheme. Security personnel who were frisking visitors at the main gate found a six-inch knife on him.
