We’ve heard from Lenovo VP Peter Hortensius earlier this year that business-oriented ThinkPad tablet were not to be launched. PC World was told however that Lenovo is changing its mind, that they are watching the market closely and that they may develop a ThinkPad tablet after all. Recent studies and market performances of BlackBerry PlayBook, Android-powered Cisco Cius and Avaya Desktop Video Device suggest strong enough data to substantiate production of consumer-oriented Android powered tablet. Hortensius has large plans and we’ll be watching him closely. He wants his ThinkPad to have better performance and battery life than iPad. Lenovo focus will be on content creation than content consumption. Among other ambitious plans Lenovo also promises that this new enterprise tablet would have great IT support.
