According to the Wikipedia, The Black Panther (T’Challa) is a story bound character in the Marvel Comics universe who is the very first modern Black superhero. It was created by the legendary writer-editor Stan Lee and penciller-co-plotter Jack Kirby. The Black Panther first appeared in Fantastic Four vol. 1, #52 (July 1966). Even though there have been several men who have worn the Black Panther identity throughout the narration of the Marvel Universe, this piece refers exclusively to the modern-day Black Panther, also known by his birth name, T’Challa.
